Ron Sutter

From Viking, Alta., he is one of six brothers to have played in the NHL, but the only one to have played for an Alberta team. Got into 21 games with Calgary Flames in his final season (2000-01). . . . The only one of the brothers not to have been employed by Chicago Blackhawks. . . . He split 1,093 regular-season NHL games over 19 seasons among Philadelphia Flyers, St. Louis Blues, Quebec Nordiques, New York Islanders, Boston Bruins and Calgary. . . . Was selected fourth overall by Philadelphia in the 1982 draft. . . . Played four seasons of junior, one with AJHL’s Red Deer Rustlers — winning 1980 Centennial Cup with brothers Brent and Rich — and three with WHL’s Lethbridge Broncos. . . . Retired as a player in 2001 and joined the Flames’ scouting staff. Spent next 22 seasons there, as head pro scout, development coach and director of player development.
