Ron Delorme

(Sept. 3, 1955 —)

Born in North Battleford, Sask., he grew up in Cochin. . . . A knee injury suffered during the 1984-85 season forced an end to his nine-season NHL career that featured 524 regular-season games split between the Colorado Rockies and Vancouver Canucks. . . . Joined the Canucks’ scouting staff in 1986 and was named chief amateur scout in 2000. Filled that role for 22 seasons before stepping back to amateur scout. . . . Has long been a role model for First Nations youth and has done a lot of work in that area, including holding numerous hockey schools. . . . Was inducted into the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame, as a player, in 2018 and the B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2019.
