Randy Hansch

(Feb. 8, 1966 —)

Born in Edmonton, he got into scouting as a regional scout for the WHL’s Kamloops Blazers  (1992-94), then was their director of scouting (1994-96) and director of player personnel (1996-2007). . . . While with Kamloops, he won 2 Memorial Cups (1994, ’95) and was also a part-time scout for the Tampa Bay Lightning (four seasons) and Calgary Flames (5). . . . Moved on to 11 seasons (2007-18) with the Edmonton Oil Kings, six as DoPP/assistant general manager and five as general manager. The Oil Kings won the Memorial Cup in his first season (2013-14) as GM. . . . Joined the Buffalo Sabres’ amateur scouting staff for two seasons (2018-20), then it was on to the Arizona Coyotes for three. When the Coyotes moved in 2024, he made the move to Utah as a Mammoth amateur scout.
