Marshall Davidson

(March 23, 1958 —)

A native of Calgary, he coached minor hockey in the city for more than 25 years, a lot of it in the bantam and midget AAA ranks. . . . Began his scouting career with St. Louis Blues and spent five seasons (2008-13) there. . . . Followed that with six seasons (2013-19) with the Columbus Blue Jackets, including two seasons as a pro scout, then moved to the New York Rangers (2019-21) as an amateur scout. . . . Returned to the Blue Jackets as an amateur scout in 2022. . . . Had success while spending some time coaching the junior B Columbia Valley Rockies of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, helping the Invermere, B.C.-based team to back-to-back Keystone Cup titles (1989, 1990) as Western Canadian champions. . . . Younger brother of former goaltender and NHL executive John Davidson.
