Rich Sutter

From Viking, Alta., he is one of six brothers to have played in the NHL. . . . Played four seasons in junior, three with Lethbridge Broncos, winning 1983 WHL title with twin brother Ron. . . . Was selected 10th overall by Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1982 NHL draft. . . . Played 12 professional seasons, splitting 874 regular-season NHL games between Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, Tampa Bay Lightning and Toronto Maple Leafs. . . . Back injury forced him into retirement in 1995. . . . Joined Hockey Canada as a scout for men’s World championships (1997-99). . . . Spent 15-plus seasons in hockey operations. Team builder and pro scout with Minnesota Wild for six-plus seasons before joining Phoenix Coyotes (3) and then Columbus Blue Jackets (6). . . . Coached by brothers Brian (St. Louis) and Darryl (Chicago). Played with Ron in Philadelphia and St.Louis, and Brent in Chicago.
