Okotoks, AB – Tickets now are on sale for the Celebrity Roast of Ron MacLean, a banquet in support of the newly established non-profit, Western Canada Professional Hockey Scouts Foundation (WCPHSF).

The banquet also will feature a great line-up of guest speakers including Elliotte Friedman, Dennis Beyak, Kevin Lowe, Peter Maher, John Shannon, and Tim Hunter.   There is also the strong potential of 1 or 2 more individuals being added to this exceptional group of guest speakers.

The WCPHS Foundation’s Start-up banquet is scheduled for September 30 in the Okotoks Centennial Arena. The arena is to be the home of the foundation, and in time will include the Western Canada Professional Hockey Scouts Wall of Honour and video display.

There will be more than 25 authenticated autographed player sweaters available for the silent and live auctions, including ones from Connor Bedard, Cale Makar, Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid, Alex Ovechkin, Brayden Point, Matthew Tkachuk and Hayley Wickenheiser.

Some of the packages to be auctioned include:

1. A trip to Las Vegas in December 2023 that will include air fare, a four-night hotel stay, one NFL game (Raiders vs. Minnesota Vikings), a one-day pass to the National Finals Rodeo, and one NHL game (Calgary Flames vs. the Stanley Cup-champion Golden Knights).
   
2. Masters’ Champion Mike Weir has donated one of his own PGA Tour golf bags, signed by Mike. Also included a golf flag from the 2024 President’s Cup where he will be the Captain of the International Team. The flag will be signed by the members of the International Team. And lastly, two tickets to attend the 2024 President’s Cup at the Royal Montreal Golf Club 
   
3. An Oakdale Golf & Country Club ‘Hole Flag’ from the 2023 Canadian Open, autographed by winner Nick Taylor.
   
4. Tickets to Madison Square Garden to see either the Edmonton Oilers or Calgary Flames against the host New York Rangers.
   
5. Tickets to the Scotia Bank Centre to see either the Oilers or Flames against the host Toronto Maple Leafs.
   
6. A Connor Bedard Autographed Sweater along with 2 tickets to the Scotiabank Saddledome where the Calgary Flames will play host to the Chicago Blackhawks
